Significance of metabolic parameters in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus and chronic pancreatitis in forecasting the level of vaspin
    (2020) Pylov, Daniel
Adipokines are closely associated with the development of diseases and conditions such as type 2 diabetes mellitus, dyslipidemia, hypertension, atherosclerosis and inflammation, as they contribute to the development of insulin resistance, metabolic disorders, stimulate local inflammation and may affect atherogenesis process. Vaspin, a new serine protease inhibitor produced by visceral adipose tissue is an adipokine with insulin-sensitive and anti-inflammatory properties and has angio- and cardioprotective effects.

Relationship between sleep status and the type 2 diabetes course
    (2020) Baskakova, Anastasiia; Sikalo, Yuliia
Type 2 diabetes mellitus is a current disease and a priority problem of the global health care system, given the steady growth of its prevalence. Since 2016, more than 2 million patients with DMhave registered in Ukraine, 90% are patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. According to a report by the World Health Organization, type 2 diabetes mellitus is one of the four priority noncommunicable diseases included in the Global Action Plan for the Prevention and Control. At the present stage, the algorithm for combating type 2 diabetes mellitus involves, above all, early diagnosis and detection of relatively healthy population risk factors, their correction, as well as dynamic control of carbohydrate metabolism.

Effect of lyraglutide on the lipid profile in patients with type 2 diabetes
(2020) Amarachi, Adaeze Uzoma; Sokolnikova, Nelia
Type 2 diabetes mellitus is a complex metabolic disorder which characterized be carbohydrate, protein and lipid metabolism disorder due to target tissue resistance to insulin and its cellular metabolic effect. Obesity-dependent diabetes can significantly decrease life expectance. Diabetes mellitus type 2 accounts for about 90% to 95% of cases and the recent explosion of diabetes has aggravated insulin resistance and contributed greatly to the diabetes epidemic. Excess fat causes cells to be less responsive to insulin. In obese individuals, adipose tissue secretes excess of non-esterified fatty acids and other substances that affect metabolism such as glycerol, hormones, proinflammatory cytokines, leptin and others.

2.An assessment of the role somatomedin insulin-like growth factor-1 in the prediction of diabetes mellitus type 2. The presence of correlation relationships between levels of somatomedin insulin-like growth factor-1 in blood and indicators of carbohydrate metabolism. The highest average levels of insulin-like growth factor-1 in blood was observed among patients with combined flow of arterial hypertension and diabetes mellitus type 2. All selected groups there was a direct correlation between the level of insulin-like growth factor-1 in blood and value of HOMA-IR index. The highest correlation coefficient was in the second group of patients with combined flow of arterial hypertension and diabetes mellitus type 2.

The influence of tumor necrosis factor-α on processes of citolisis and cholestasis in patients with comorbid pathology
    (2013) Ogneva, Olena
Tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) is an adipokine that can cause the cytotoxic effects and can stimulate the apoptosis, impairing liver function. There is a need in further study of TNF-α influence on liver cells properties and its role in the pathogenesis of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease against the background of diabetes mellitus type 2 and obesity.

Relationship leptin and body mass index in patients with diabetes mellitus type 2
    (2012) Sokolnikova, Nelia
Overweight plays an important role in the development of cardiovascular complications in patients with diabetes mellitus type 2 (DM-2). The risk of acute complications (myocardial infarction, stroke) increases along with the body weight gain. Leptin is a hormone produced by adipose tissue. Experimental and clinical studies indicate various negative effects of leptin and leptin resistance
