The problem of treatment of inflammatory bowel diseases is relevant today. According to the International Research Committee, the incidence of ulcerative colitis (UC) has been steadily increasing in all countries in recent years. Significance of metabolic parameters in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus and chronic pancreatitis in forecasting the level of vaspin
    (2020) Pylov, Daniel
Adipokines are closely associated with the development of diseases and conditions such as type 2 diabetes mellitus, dyslipidemia, hypertension, atherosclerosis and inflammation, as they contribute to the development of insulin resistance, metabolic disorders, stimulate local inflammation and may affect atherogenesis process. Vaspin, a new serine protease inhibitor produced by visceral adipose tissue is an adipokine with insulin-sensitive and anti-inflammatory properties and has angio- and cardioprotective effects.

The relationship of muscle strength and osteoarthritis in women
    (2020) Olkhovska, Sofiia; Oliinyk, Mariia
Epidemiological studies demonstrate the high prevalence of osteoarthritis in the population. Thus, the frequency of OA of large (supporting) joints in people older than 65 years varies from 19.2 to 50%. The leading role in maintaining the stability of the joints belongs to the muscles that hold them in a physiological position and provide, together with the ligaments and capsule, full functioning. Degenerative changes in muscle fibers associated with aging underlie the development of sarcopenia.

Structure and frequency of comorbid pathology in cholelithiasis
(2020) Kovalenko, Anastasiia; Kumechko, Oleksandra; Sikalo, Yuliia
Cholelithiasis is a common gastroenterological pathology in a population characterized by increasing morbidity and is one of the main causes of hospitalization of patients. It is known that hypercholesterolemia, as an important pathogenetic marker of cholelithiasis, is a component of metabolic syndrome, and associated pathological conditions. Therefore, the search for comorbidity is of particular interest to further prediction of the course and choice of treatment methods and prevention of exacerbations.

Effect of lyraglutide on the lipid profile in patients with type 2 diabetes
(2020) Amarachi, Adaeze Uzoma; Sokolnikova, Nelia
Type 2 diabetes mellitus is a complex metabolic disorder which characterized be carbohydrate, protein and lipid metabolism disorder due to target tissue resistance to insulin and its cellular metabolic effect. Obesity-dependent diabetes can significantly decrease life expectance. Diabetes mellitus type 2 accounts for about 90% to 95% of cases and the recent explosion of diabetes has aggravated insulin resistance and contributed greatly to the diabetes epidemic. Excess fat causes cells to be less responsive to insulin. In obese individuals, adipose tissue secretes excess of non-esterified fatty acids and other substances that affect metabolism such as glycerol, hormones, proinflammatory cytokines, leptin and others.
