Student-centered approach to learning outcome assessment

Abstract

Assessment plays a central role in a modern learning and teaching as it allows not only to rate, but also to adjust the program to the learning needs of the student, motivates learning, can stimulate self-assessment, plays a role in personality development. Assessment is a permanently developing concept, thus the effectiveness of assessment types practiced by a higher school should be constantly monitored and the assessment system should be revised and updated in accordance with the new trends in the science of education and social demand. Оцінювання відіграє центральну роль у сучасному навчанні та викладанні, оскільки дозволяє не тільки оцінювати, але й налаштовувати програму відповідно до навчальних потреб студента, мотивує навчання, може стимулювати самооцінку, відіграє роль у розвитку особистості. Оцінювання є поняттям, що постійно розвивається, тому ефективність видів оцінювання, які практикує вищий навчальний заклад, має постійно контролюватися, а система оцінювання має переглядатися та оновлюватись відповідно до нових тенденцій у науці про освіту та суспільних потреб.
